La Tour Eiffel or The Eiffel Tower in English, is an iron lattice tower located on the Champ de Mars in Paris. The tower is the tallest structure in Paris. It was named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, and today it is one of the most-visited touristic attractions in the world.
The tower is 300 meters high and has 75 floors. Together with the 24-m antenna is 324 meters high. The main structural work was completed in 1889 and it was the tallest man-made structure in the world until 1930.
