The chamber of secrets

The main symbols of the Republic share the same revolutionary origins. The national motto “Liberty, Equality, Fraternity”, the national day on 14 July, the Marseillaise, the national anthem, the three-coloured flag, were born symbolically at the time of the French Revolution.
